This talk will give an overview of all things new in Eclipse WTP 2.0, and a glimpse of things to come in the next release for building Web applications, JSF, JPA and ATF. We’ll focus on the features available in the Eclipse Web Tools Platform but will also point out relationships to other Eclipse projects, such as the PHP Development Tools Project, Data Tools Platform.

This talk will also cover non-Java Web development, using JavaScript and HTML, as well as building applications for Java EE using Web services, JavaServer Pages and Enterprise JavaBeans.

There will be demonstrations covering the creation, testing and debugging of some features.

Chief scientist and founder of eteration, a.s., Naci Dai is a member of the WTP project management committee. Naci leads WTP’s JST subproject and leads the Open Source Lomboz project, which was a part of the initial code contributed to WTP to seed the project.
